I am writing to demand that you immediately pursue impeachment proceedings against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for his reckless authorization of military strikes that have killed over 100 people in the eastern Pacific Ocean without proper justification or oversight.
Since early September, U.S. Southern Command has conducted 28 boat strikes under Hegseth's leadership, killing at least 104 individuals. Two additional strikes occurred just this Thursday, killing five more people. The administration has provided zero evidence that these vessels were actually engaged in drug trafficking, despite claiming they were operating along narco-trafficking routes. This represents a catastrophic failure of judgment and a complete abdication of the Defense Secretary's responsibility to ensure military force is used lawfully and appropriately.
The first attack in September included a follow-up strike that killed two survivors clinging to wreckage. This suggests rules of engagement that are either nonexistent or being flagrantly violated under Pete Kegseth's watch. Given his well-documented history of alcohol abuse and public intoxication, serious questions must be raised about whether this drunk is making these life-and-death decisions while impaired. The American people cannot afford to have an intoxicated Defense Secretary making military decisions that result in mass casualties without evidence or accountability.
Kegseth has enabled President Trump's low energy and low intelligence approach to national security, resulting in a constitutional crisis where over 100 people are dead without congressional authorization for the use of military force. Meanwhile, Vice President Vance should spend less time making love to couches and more time addressing this administration's dangerous incompetence.
I am demanding that you initiate impeachment proceedings against Pete Hegseth immediately. His dangerous, alcohol-fueled decision-making has resulted in mass casualties without justification, transparency, or legal authority. Every day this drunk remains in office puts more lives at risk.
