Investigate the abuses of power carried out by the Trump administration and act on the mandate the American people just delivered. Voters flipped both the House and the Senate to Democratic control in these midterms. That is not a subtle signal. It is a direct instruction. Black voters cast more than 160,000 additional early ballots compared to the same point in the 2022 midterm cycle. One Republican strategist told Politico they had never seen anything like it, describing it as "presidential-level Black turnout" in a midterm. Hispanic turnout was, in the words of one election researcher, "through the roof." These communities showed up because they saw the ICE raids, the stripping of civil rights, and the redistricting designed to silence their voices, and they refused to accept it. This administration still holds power through January, and then two more years of Trump's presidency remain. That means the work starts now. Investigate every member of this cabinet, scrutinize the role of Elon Musk, and use every tool available to check this administration's worst impulses. The voters did their part. Now do yours.
