Demand fair, nonpartisan redistricting maps for Texas elections

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Hunt

From: A constituent in Spring, TX

August 4

Texas Republicans are moving quickly to redraw the state's congressional maps in a way that will secure more GOP-leaning seats, a highly partisan effort spurred by President Trump's push for new district lines more favorable to his party. This brazen attempt at gerrymandering threatens free and fair elections. Citizens of all political persuasions should be able to choose their representatives through equitable district boundaries that respect community interests, not maps rigged for partisan gain. I urge you to speak out against this undermining of democracy and demand redistricting be conducted through an independent, nonpartisan process to protect the integrity of Texas elections. Fair maps are essential for all Texans to have an equal voice.
