I generally don't write to you because I never expect you to listen, but yesterday's election were a clear victory for Democrats coast to coast. In some cases, it was by landslide margins. I'm sure conservative media will pull out the old "voter fraud" trope, but there's no denying the message. It's not so much that we the people voted FOR Democrats as we voted AGAINST Republican policies. We voted against grift, authoritarianism, and abject cruelty. You can choose not to believe that but you have to believe this: Donald Trump is now a lame duck. He's cooked. There will be no reviving his reputation, so the sooner you distance yourself from him the better. Ignore him. Work with Democrats to reopen the government by extending the ACA tax credits. Rescind all tariffs to pre-Trump levels. Increase taxes on the ultra-wealthy to pay for improved healthcare, education, transportation, and to rehire all the government experts he fired. Restart the investigation into Tom Homan's allegedly accepting bribes. Release the Epstein files in full. Or not. The midterms are only a year away.
