Members of Congress who persist in denying the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election pose a grave threat to American democracy. By undermining faith in our electoral system and signaling a willingness to disregard the will of the people, they violate their oath to uphold the Constitution. Such individuals have no place in positions of power, as their actions erode the foundations of our republic. We cannot allow those who would subvert free and fair elections to continue serving in office. For the sake of preserving our democratic institutions, it is imperative that all elected officials respect the integrity of our electoral process and the sanctity of the popular vote. To do otherwise is to enable the downfall of the nation we hold dear.
Speaker Mike Johnson of the House led the pack of against certification in 2020 and he will do it again. This isn’t a policy issue. This is an issue about protecting democracy from those that mean to overthrow it. It’s time to stop gerrymandering as it only serves to suppress votes for the republican agenda and those that do not care about the freedom of the American people.
