Elon Musk has authorized America PAC to spend more than $100 million on the 2026 midterms, and every dollar is funding anti-trans attack ads in four competitive Senate races. The Williams Institute puts the transgender adult population at 0.8% of Americans. Musk is spending nine figures to convince the other 99.2% that this group is an existential threat. That's not a political strategy. That's a scam, and it deserves scrutiny. The numbers he's running ads about are a fiction. NCAA President Charlie Baker testified under oath that fewer than 10 of 510,000 NCAA athletes are transgender. Trump signed an executive order over it anyway. Now Musk is amplifying the same manufactured panic, on a platform he personally owns and personally tunes, with an algorithm he controls. No other individual in American history has combined that much money, that much media infrastructure, and that much political motive. The Human Rights Campaign's Ramiro Sarmiento said it plainly: Musk is scapegoating LGBTQ Americans to distract voters from the healthcare cuts he personally engineered while running DOGE. This needs a formal investigation into America PAC's coordination, its AI-generated ad content, and the four ads Google pulled for violating disclosure rules before quietly allowing back up. Voters in Texas, Ohio, Iowa, and Alaska deserve to know who is buying their elections and why.
