CLE contract changes bypass PA law.

To: Sen. Kane, Gov. Shapiro, Rep. Sappey

From: A constituent in Kennett Square, PA

June 6

My own personal opinion. I think we need to ask our state elected officials to require ODP to follow PA law regarding public comment and these new CLE agreements. This is what I sent. Feel free to edit and use as you see fit. (I would include a statement or two of the issues most important to your family. In case they are unaware of the situation) I concerned that ODP appears to be implementing new requirements for families without first completing the public comment and regulatory review process required under Pennsylvania law. Families are now being required to sign new CLE agreements by August 6, despite not having had the opportunity to review or comment on these changes through the established public process. This issue is larger than any one family. It is about ensuring transparency, public participation, and adherence to the legal requirements that govern state agencies. Pennsylvanians deserve the opportunity to provide input before significant policy changes are implemented. I am respectfully asking if (name and title of elected official) would be willing to raise this issue with ODP and advocate for compliance with Pennsylvania's regulatory process on behalf of his constituents. Ensuring that agencies follow the law protects individuals with disabilities, their families, and the integrity of the public process. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to your response.
