The U.S. government just banned its largest federal healthcare plan from covering gender-affirming care for anyone under 19. Gender affirming care is LIFE SAVING CARE and should be available to everyone, no matter their age, gender, sexual orientation, race, or class. Allow trans kids to have access to the SAME healthcare that ciskids have access too. Many cisgender kids are put on puberty blockers and hormone therapies for a variety of medical reasons. It is nothing but discrimination to allow these treatments for one group of people and not the other. STOP treating transgender people as if they are subhuman. Stop acting like hormone therapy is a valid answer for cisgender kids and "mutilation" for transgender kids. This is atrocious.
