As citizens, we deserve leaders who prioritize empathy, compassion, and the well-being of all people over divisive rhetoric and harmful policies. Statements like "We want to put them in trauma" from officials are not only morally reprehensible but actively undermine the principles of a just and democratic society. Such callous disregard for the mental health and dignity of public servants is unacceptable and erodes faith in our institutions. We must demand better from our representatives – governance rooted in ethics, unity, and a genuine commitment to improving lives rather than inflicting trauma. It is through nurturing environments of growth, acceptance, and love that we can build a stronger, more resilient nation that uplifts all its people. Institutionalized trauma has no place in a government meant to serve its citizens. Our shared humanity calls us to reject language and actions that breed fear, suffering, and despair. It is by championing values of care, understanding, and respect that we can restore hope and move our society in a more positive direction. United, we have the power to create meaningful change and hold our leaders accountable to the highest standards of moral leadership.
