25 reasons to vote no on confirming partisan hack Todd Blanche.

As your constituent, I urge you to vote no on confirming Todd Blanche as Attorney General. His record as Deputy and Acting Attorney General supplies twenty-five independent reasons for rejection. TWENTY-FIVE REASONS TO VOTE NO 1. He was Donald Trump’s personal defense lawyer and has never separated that role from his public duties. 2. Department of Justice (DOJ) ethics officials advised him to recuse from matters involving Trump; he refused. 3. The senior ethics official who gave that advice was fired soon after. 4. He settled Trump’s 10 billion dollar lawsuit against his own government’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS). 5. That settlement created a 1.776 billion dollar fund benefiting the President’s allies, including January 6 rioters. 6. It also gave Trump, his family, and his businesses a sweeping release from federal claims and audits. 7. A federal court has reopened the case to examine whether the settlement is a fraud on the court. 8. A second court blocked payments from the fund while legal challenges proceed. 9. He personally interviewed convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell behind closed doors. 10. Maxwell was then moved to a minimum-security camp, contrary to longstanding prison policy. 11. He has failed to release all Epstein files as federal law requires. 12. He failed to protect Epstein victims’ personal information and refused to meet with survivors. 13. A judge dismissed the Kilmar Abrego Garcia prosecution as vindictive, citing Blanche’s tainted investigation. 14. He brought the widely ridiculed seashell indictment against former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey. 15. He indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center in a case former prosecutors call baseless. 16. He approved investigations targeting Trump critics, including Cassidy Hutchinson and ActBlue. 17. He replaced a respected career prosecutor with a partisan loyalist on the Brennan inquiry. 18. He declined a civil rights investigation into the fatal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shooting of Renee Good, prompting mass prosecutor resignations. 19. He claims the President has a right to direct prosecutions, abandoning DOJ independence. 20. He boasted of firing more than 200 agents and lawyers who worked on Trump cases. 21. That broke his sworn assurance to the Senate Judiciary Committee that those employees would keep their jobs. 22. Earlier prosecutions of James Comey and Letitia James, brought on his watch, were dismissed as invalid. 23. He declared the Department at war with the judiciary and attacks judges as rogue activists. 24. He sued the D.C. Bar and moved to shield DOJ lawyers from state bar discipline. 25. More than 100 former judges signed an ethics complaint against him in New York. REQUESTED ACTIONS (1) Vote no on Todd Blanche’s confirmation as Attorney General. (2) Question him under oath about the IRS settlement, the Maxwell transfer, and the Epstein files. Thank you.
