Kill the $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" now. This is a slush fund designed to pay people convicted of crimes related to helping Trump overturn the 2020 election — and it has no place in a functioning democracy. Judge Leonie Brinkema has already temporarily blocked it, and more than a dozen Republican senators are privately asking Trump advisors to scrap it. That tells you everything about how indefensible this is. The DOJ is simultaneously arguing in federal court that the president can fire anyone for any reason — including to build an all-white or all-Black executive branch — and refusing to answer whether any limits exist at all. That's not a legal theory, that's a blueprint for unchecked power. Congress has the authority and the obligation to shut this down. Vote to defund the Anti-Weaponization Fund and put that position on the record before the midterms force the question anyway.
