Vote NO on KOSA

To: Sen. Gillibrand, Sen. Schumer, Rep. Clarke

From: A constituent in Brooklyn, NY

September 18

I’m writing to urge you to vote NO on HR 7891 or KOSA – the Kids Online Safety Act. Do not hand hateful politicians a tool to use against marginalized communities—you will lose my support and undermine your own platform if you do.  The Heritage Foundation & others behind Project 2025 openly admit that they’ll use KOSA to censor LGBTQ content and information about abortion. The age verification services the bill will force into use will inevitably be hacked.  Republicans aren’t being shy about how they plan to use KOSA. This new version hands every red state attorney general a weapon to shut down free speech. KOSA’s supposed to protect kids, but it will harm both kids and adults. If Democrats want to be seen as the party of freedom again, you need to vote NO on KOSA.
