Stop conflicts of interest - they harm our democracy

To: Rep. Thompson, Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick

From: A verified voter in Lewisburg, PA

February 27

According to The Washington Post, “The Federal Aviation Administration is close to canceling a $2.4 billion contract to overhaul a communications system that serves as the backbone of the nation’s air traffic control system and awarding the work to Elon Musk’s Starlink, according to two people briefed on the plans.” [FAA targeting Verizon contract in favor of Musk’s Starlink, sources say, Feb. 26, 2025] Is our government really going to normalize conflicts of interest? Is that going to happen because oligarchs have been given powerful positions in the Trump administration and there’s no way out? Our democracy is being sold and I would like to know what you will do about it, if anything.
