I urge you to oppose H.R. 1, the House budget reconciliation bill, and the provision that will limit the enforcement of contempt of court charges. This was clearly included in the bill just to allow the Trump administration to freely defy court orders and the Constitution. I expect elected officials to protect the rule of law, not to help the administration break it. I am a federal employee out stationed in Seattle and have seen firsthand the destruction caused. Please work hard to get bipartisan support to stop this. This budget is an atrocity and permanently destroys all accountability. Vote no and please work with the other side to defeat this bill.
