i’m writing because i’m shocked by the comments made by your republican colleagues about zohran mamdani — he hasn’t even been the democratic mayoral candidate for new york city for a week and he’s already being targeted with racist and disgusting rhetoric. as the people in the senate who represent new york, i implore you both to speak out against this kind of hate and ensure representative mamdani be treated as any other mayoral candidate and demand respect from even those who don’t agree with every single one of his ideas and positions. new york city can and should do better for everyone, and that includes giving mamdani a fair chance.
