“More training” won’t fix ICE

The remedy to ICE’s brutality is not “more training,” as some of your colleagues are saying. The man who murdered Renee Good was highly trained. And current recruits are right wing zealots and mercenaries who no amount of training will humanize. Their brutality is a feature, not a bug. The remedy is for you to use the power of the purse to defund ICE. Please treat them as the threat to Democracy that they clearly are. Stop the additional $75 billion in ICE funding any way you can.
