Vote no on Todd Blanche's confirmation as attorney general. The man literally said "I'm his lawyer" during his own confirmation hearing before catching himself. That slip tells you everything about where his loyalties lie — with one man, not with the American people. The IRS settlement alone should disqualify him. A federal judge called it an attempt to "earmark billions of dollars from American taxpayers to redress grievances not defined in the law." Even you, Sen. John Cornyn, noted that Trump hasn't agreed in writing to kill the anti-weaponization fund, meaning the settlement protecting Trump and his family from IRS audits of past tax returns is still an enforceable contract. Meanwhile, Blanche's DOJ missed deadlines on Epstein document releases, botched redactions that exposed victims' private information and photos, and his first instinct when asked to meet with those victims was to offer them a staffer. That's not independence. That's an attorney general managing the president's exposure, not serving justice. The attorney general is supposed to represent the United States — not shield one person from accountability. Blanche has shown he cannot separate those two roles. Please vote no.
