Reject Quack Overton: Keep Dangerous Ideology Out of the FDA I am writing as a constituent to demand that you vote against the nomination of Heidi Overton to head the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA exists to protect public health through sound science, not to serve as a platform for dangerous political agendas. Overton’s record makes her thoroughly unfit to lead an agency responsible for evaluating life-saving drugs, food, and vaccines. Her public stance undermining established childhood immunization schedules puts vulnerable communities at grave risk. Furthermore, her ideological crusade against medication abortion—disregarding decades of clear scientific evidence regarding its safety—demonstrates a willingness to prioritize political dogma over clinical reality. She also lacks the executive experience required to manage an 18,000-person agency. We need an FDA Commissioner committed to evidence-based medicine and public safety. Please reject Overton’s nomination.
