The Islamophobia being hurled at Mayor Zohran Mamdami of New York City is absolutely reprehensible and needs to be called out by Democrat leaders, including you. I happened to be in NYC on 9/11 in 2001, and never once did I engage in anti-Muslim hatred. It’s unacceptable behavior and we cannot let Republicans keep getting away with it. I expect you to stand up for him, whether you agree with all his policy positions or not.
