It's time to impeach Pete Hegseth. Please support Rep. Ansari's articles of impeachment. Vote to impeach and remove him. Pete Hegseth was already manifestly unfit for the role of secretary of the DoD when he was nominated and confirmed. He lacked appropriate credentials, experience and character: a TV presenter with a rap sheet for alcoholism and spousal abuse with zero experience leading any organization as large as the DoD and our armed forces. From Signalgate to No Quarter orders, he has committed war crimes according to US and international law, not just once or twice but repeatedly. He has endangered our troops. He has been a serial betrayer of his oath to the constitution. His inflammatory rhetoric reveals his poor judgement and immaturity. Armed conflicts are not a war game; we are not waging a medieval crusade. Rep Ansari states: "Pete Hegseth broke his oath to the Constitution, put U.S. troops at grave risk through the unauthorized disclosure of classified information, engaged in abuse of office and conduct beneath the dignity of his office, and carried out unlawful military actions despite his obligation to refuse—including strikes on civilians and a girls’ school in Minab, Iran. Hegseth’s conduct meets the threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors and warrants immediate removal by Congress." In short: Hegseth's crimes and misdemeanours are egregious and indisputable. We must not tolerate the betrayal of the constitution and international law, reckless endangerment of our troops and contempt for the lives of civilians. Hegseth is a threat to life and the rule of law. Your duty to the constitution requires you to remove him. I hope I can count on your integrity.
