Save our forests

To: Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty, Rep. Burchett

From: A constituent in Knoxville, TN

April 7

I urge you to push back on the directive issued by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and the Trump administration to expand timber production on 113 million acres of national forest land. This move will dangerously bypass important environmental laws to destroy our public lands, harm wildlife, and compromise our safety, air and water quality. Appropriate forest management is necessary to keep our public lands safe and available to everyone to enjoy for recreation, hunting, fishing, and ecological health. Tearing down forests will only do harm. We already have a robust timber production industry in the USA, and it is not worth the beauty of our public lands to tear down more forest.
