Invest in Americans, Not Corporations

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Kelly, Sen. McCormick

From: A constituent in Valencia, PA

April 16

America was founded on a promise: government of, by, and for the people. That means investing in Americans themselves, not handing public money to multinational corporations while our communities fall apart. We must fully fund our public schools, libraries, healthcare, and transit systems. These are the foundations that lift everyone — not just the wealthy, but working families, the poor, and the vulnerable. Trickle-down economics has failed us for decades. It's time to build this country from the bottom up. We must end the school-to-prison pipeline. Every dollar spent on punitive, for-profit incarceration is a dollar stolen from a child's future. Restorative justice works. Invest in students, not systems designed to profit from their failure. We must federally legalize cannabis, both to generate revenue for these priorities and to end a policy that has disproportionately harmed low-income and minority communities for generations. America should work for all Americans — regardless of national origin, sexual orientation, or whatever circumstance of birth or life brought them here. United we stand, divided we fall. Fund this country from the bottom up.
