I am writing to urge you to take action to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United v. FEC decision and to support meaningful reforms that remove the influence of big money from our elections. This ruling has opened the door for billionaires and special interests to spend unlimited amounts of money to influence the outcome of our democratic process. It undermines the voices of everyday Americans and gives disproportionate power to a wealthy few. Our elections should be determined by the will of the people—not by who has the deepest pockets. I respectfully ask you to support legislation or a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and help restore fairness, transparency, and integrity to our political system.
