The U.S. Senate is currently considering a budget reconciliation bill that quietly includes language that could devastate our public lands. It would: - Make over 250 million acres of public land eligible for sale - Mandate the sale of at least 2 million acres of Forest Service and BLM land. This is horrific! We are experiencing rapid climate changes, our public lands are becoming increasingly vulnerable. We already have had staffing shortages since DOGE cuts. Our country has beautiful natural resources that this bill will destroy as well as hastening the destruction of our planet. Please vote no and urge your colleagues across the aisle to vote no as well.
