I am writing to demand immediate oversight and accountability regarding reports of "retribution squads" or the targeting of political opponents within the federal government. Recent actions and statements attributed to FBI Director Kash Patel and other administration officials suggest a shift toward using federal law enforcement as a tool for personal or political vengeance rather than the impartial administration of justice. The use of government resources to investigate journalists, suppress dissent, or "get back" at political rivals is a direct violation of the constitutional rights of all Americans. Such actions undermine the "Lattice" of our democracy and erode public trust in our essential institutions. I urge you to: 1 Launch a full investigation into any "get back" squads or retaliatory units within the DOJ and FBI. 2 Support legislation that strengthens protections for whistleblowers and journalists from politically motivated prosecution. 3 Exercise strict oversight over the current leadership of the FBI to ensure they are adhering to the highest standards of the Constitution. Politicians who use their power to target opponents should be held accountable and, if found to be in violation of their oath of office, removed from their positions. Our government must serve the people, not a personal agenda.
