I’m horrified by the plainclothes ICE raids that have been taking place in this country. The latest was in a Virginia courthouse, where the supposed ICE officers did not show badges or a warrant when taking a man into custody, even when two bystanders asked them for it. This may as well be kidnapping, and like the other abductions of Mohsen Mahdawi, Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, and others before it, this is unacceptable. This is a huge risk to public safety - for the person being arrested, bystanders, and the officers themselves. If a person is trying to abduct another, sometimes in masks and without badges or warrants, it is only a matter of time until someone gets hurt or killed in self defense. You are my representative and I expect you to fight back. We are not a dictatorship. Trump is not a king. These abducted individuals must be granted due process and immediately released. And plainclothes ICE raids must be prohibited. Uphold the Constitution—it’s literally your job. Thanks.
