An Open Letter

To: Sen. Padilla, Rep. Gomez, Sen. Schiff

From: A constituent in Los Angeles, CA

July 4

The NY Times recently put out an article about how the new design for SUVs are making car accidents with pedestrians more deadly. This is unacceptable and we should force those SUVs to be recalled and regulate what types of car designs are allowed on our streets. People don’t need to buy a machine that kills people so they can go to work or run errands. We need to look out for our citizenry — especially our children who are more likely to be the victims of this sort of accident. Hold these car designers and corporations accountable and make our streets safer.
