SAVE the Energy Star Program!! Don’t let Trump hurt more American Citizens!!

The proposed elimination of the Energy Star program by the Trump administration is a misguided decision that will directly harm American consumers and businesses. This long-standing program has helped save over $500 billion in energy costs since its inception in 1992, with the average American household saving around $450 annually on utility bills by choosing Energy Star certified appliances. By scrapping a highly cost-effective initiative that delivers a remarkable 350-fold return on investment, the administration is needlessly increasing household expenses and undercutting its own stated goal of reducing energy costs for citizens. Furthermore, withdrawing Energy Star certifications will deprive consumers of valuable information for making informed purchasing decisions on energy-efficient products. This ill-advised move lacks justification and represents a step backwards in promoting sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the public's financial interests. A program yielding such tremendous savings should be safeguarded and strengthened, not dismantled.
