I'm writing to demand that you not waste all the work and effort that went into the overwhelmingly blue election results by choosing Chuck Shumer as Senate Majority Leader. Shumer and his conciliatory attitude and record of folding to the demands of those who would tear down our democracy is NOT the leader we need in this moment. I urge you to pick Chris Vanholland who has clearly grasped and communicated what needs to happen starting day one to claw back the power this administration has stolen from the people. Please chose Chris Vanholland, NOT Chuck Shumer. Do not meet this historic moment with weakness and centrist BAU politics. That is not why so many people turned out and voted blue on Nov. Give us the action, justice and change the US people deserve.
