You have let down your constituents and all Americans by voting to pass cloture on the Continuing Resolution. This advances the CR to a final vote and hurts Democrats and Independents who had no say in it. This also gives the Trump administration discretion on spending decisions. We have already seen how harmful to our economy that has been. It will only get worse. Notably, the CR does not reauthorize Secure Rural Schools (SRS), which has provided funding to counties impacted by reduced timber harvests since 2000.  This affects northern Michigan - your own constituents. We demand that you step down immediately and resign, as it is clear that you cannot perform your job in good faith and stand with your fellow Democratic Senators. Resign and allow for a younger, stronger candidate to replace you. It is what Michigan needs and deserves. We don’t want a gutless coward like yourself representing us any longer. Shame on you.
