I tried to call your office today but was unable to leave a voice mail message. Please treat this email as you would a phone call. I am writing about several important issues that greatly concern me. First, I strenuously oppose the National Defense Authorization Act. $1.15 Trillion is an insane and ridiculous  amount of money to send to the military for the illegal, unauthorized warin Iran.  I also strongly oppose the following: 1.  Section 1217, the expanded U.S.-Israel defense technology integration which creates a deeper, more entrenched US/Israeli military partnership. 2.  Anti-trans amendments that restrict TRICARE coverage and bar trans students from participating in sports. 3. Funding to rename the Department of Defense the Department of War which is estimated to cost between $10 million and $125 million for an administrative shift, while a full legal and structural overhaul across federal law could range from $500 million to over $1 billion. 4. Funding for the Golden Dome missile shield which faces severe technological, strategic, and financial shortcomings 5. Funding for Trump’s new (BBGX) nuclear-powered battleship program which faces major shortcomings, including extreme financial costs, high vulnerability to modern missile threats, and heavy reliance on unproven technologies. Second, I oppose the Republican reconciliation bill. Americans do NOT want more money being allocated for the Iran war AND we absolutely do not want $10B going to voter suppression efforts that are unnecessary and will cause massive disruption. Also, our national debt is almost 40 trillion dollars. We have got to stop this reckless military spending. Vote no. Finally, please vote no on Jay Clayton and Todd Blanche.  Neither are qualified.
