As your constituent, I am excited for Democrats to have Congressional majorities. I thank you for your work on behalf of the American people thus far. I also implore you to not waste your new majority/mandate by trying to keep your heads down. The economy was basically tied with ‘concern about democracy’ so the focus of your work should not be just affordability. It must be real fixes for American citizens on economic issues AND ALSO accountability for the lawlessness and corruption of the Trump administration and its enablers. Failure to hold them accountable will lose you your majority in two years. Failure to deliver consequences after the Civil War and Watergate is why we are in this situation today. WE DO NOT WANT RECONCILIATION WITHOUT ACCOUNTABILITY. If Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries cannot figure that out, elect new leadership. Elect someone who will fight, not make nice to keep the donor class happy and hope we forget. We are watching. You have said for two years you couldn’t do anything because you were in the minority. Well, come January you won’t be anymore, so HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE or we will replace you with someone who does.
