I urge you to oppose and amend overly broad digital age verification and parental consent mandates that are accidentally blocking children and teenagers from critical educational and homeschooling websites.
While intended to regulate social media, the current execution of these digital laws creates severe collateral damage.Because language learning platforms like Duolingo use interactive leaderboards, and independent homeschooling platforms rely on student profile tracking, they are being misclassified and heavily restricted. Minors under 18 and homeschooling families are being locked out of vital modern learning tools, or forced to submit to invasive third-party ID and biometric surveillance just to complete everyday school assignments.

I demand that all current and pending internet safety legislation include a strict, ironclad Educational Exemption. Lawmakers must protect a family's right to independent education by explicitly shielding online curriculums, tutoring networks, and language apps from burdensome age-verification and parental-lockout hurdles. Stop the mass blocking of educational content and respect parental authority.
