Call for Congressional Oversight of FBI Director Travel Costs

To: Rep. Case, Sen. Schatz, Sen. Hirono

From: A constituent in Ewa Beach, HI

February 25

I am requesting formal oversight into FBI Director Kash Patel’s travel and spending, including but not limited to his recent Olympic travel. Please provide transparency on the following: • A full accounting of Director Patel’s travel over the past year • Funding sources for all official and non-official trips • Use of government aircraft or taxpayer-funded transportation • Security, lodging, and related travel costs • The official government purpose tied to each trip Recent public footage from the Olympics has raised additional concerns about whether taxpayer-funded travel is being used appropriately. This incident underscores the need for a broader review, not a limited inquiry. Taxpayers deserve transparency, fiscal responsibility, and accountability from federal leadership. Please advise what oversight actions your office will take to review this matter and report findings to the public.
