This is not politics — it's a system of self-enrichment using the powers of the presidency. Senator Chris Murphy called it "unprecedented corruption" and "a national crisis" in a Senate floor speech on June 23. He's right. Trump has pulled in approximately $2.3 billion in crypto gains since taking office, structured so his family collects fees while ordinary investors lose money. A $500 million no-bid White House construction contract was blocked by a federal judge. The penalty for filing a late stock transaction report is $200. None of this polices itself.
