I felt nauseous when Donald Trump bulldozed the East Wing of the White House. It happened without notice and contrary to what the president said would happen. Was there any plan for preserving the history and contents? We may never know until he’s out of office. His plan for the ballroom is terrifying. It’s designed to overwhelm the White House and promote the ego of a narcissistic despot. I sincerely hope the lawsuit to prevent this construction is successful. The damage to the White House is done. NOW we learn that Donald Trump is trying to ILLEGALLY bulldoze four HISTORIC federal buildings, that they are circumventing the GSA and are ALREADY soliciting bids for the destruction. Congress SHOULD be as outraged as I am AND TAKE ACTION TO STOP THIS DESTRUCTION. Donald Trump and his administration are KNOWN to do their worst before anyone realizes what they’re about and then deal with the outrage when it is too late. This is NOT how our government was supposed to work. CONGRESS CAN STOP THIS!
