The Republican health care proposal poses a grave threat to vulnerable populations by drastically cutting Medicaid funding and undermining the Affordable Care Act's consumer protections. This legislation would jeopardize access to essential medical services for millions, including those in rural communities heavily reliant on Medicaid to sustain their local hospitals. Making health coverage unaffordable for low-income families and older Americans goes against principles of compassion and human dignity. I urge you to reject any measures that would strip health security from our most vulnerable citizens and instead work towards improving and expanding access to quality, affordable care for all. Protecting the well-being of constituents, especially the most disadvantaged, should be the highest priority.
