Please Protect Veterans Disability Benefits

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Kelly, Sen. McCormick

From: A constituent in Seven Fields, PA

November 10

As a Veteran, I'm appalled by what is being discussed regarding Veterans Disability Benefits Veterans have served honorably and given everything and are left broken and Republicans want to strip their disability benefits to save a buck. Veterans depend on these benefits and I know because I know many of them I work with them, I help them. I go to events with them. I volunteer for them. These benefits are their lifeline and taking it away will undoubtedly end up in loss of lives Lives of patriots who fought valiantly for this country and the government has an obligation to care for them And ensure they do not wind up homeless or worse. Is that really what you want? The vast majority of these veterans are unable to work, so striping these benefits would be a death sentence. I care about my brothers and sisters and hearing about this breaks my heart and upsets me That our government would even consider this. Pennsylvania is packed full of Veterans and you would be wise to seriously consider voting no to this legislation This is not just some line budget item, this is Veterans lives and your voters. We have all heard the rumors about benefits and even if there is a sliver of truth to that, it happens everywhere. That's no reason to even consider this legislation. Maybe have the VA tighten some controls or something, but, this is the wrong way. Thank you for your time. I hope that when involved in talks regarding Veterans Disability Benefits that you help to protect all Veterans and save our benefits.
