I have written previously about my opposition to the war in Iran. After several weeks of this war, it is clear the White House cannot articulate to the American public why the war was started. Every time the president speaks publicly, he contradicts himself. Our service members are dying. Our allies, because this is a war of choice, and because they have been repeatedly belittled by the president for the past year, have no interest in aiding us in this situation. The American people deserve better than to see our already fragile economy worsened, than to have our service members harmed and killed, or to see our international alliances fall apart all because of a reckless war that no one even seems to be able to defend. This war needs to end immediately.
