I am reading the Reuters article by Nidal Al-Mughrabi titled "Hamas carries out wave of Gaza killings, citing crime and security concerns," which was posted yesterday to the Reuters website; and I am both angry and heartbroken. Palestinians in Gaza have endured two years of bombing, shooting, withholding of aid, and other acts of aggression by a far right government in Israel - campaigns which have been cited as war crimes amounting to genocide by various humanitarian organisations. The first thing that Hamas did when the bombs stopped falling was to extrajudicially assassinate Palestinians. It is so disgusting. Worse, though, is to read that trump has allowed Hamas to have a "policing role" in the Gaza Strip. He is wrong. Hamas must be wholly disarmed and expelled from Palestine. An international peacekeeping force independent of Israel, the US, and Palestine must be established in the Gaza Strip. Evidence must be collected related to Israeli and Hamas war crimes, as well as Hamas crimes against Palestinians such as this most recent execution. Please do what you can to get Hamas out of power without further harming Palestinians. Also, don't leave trump in charge of anything, even a Sharpie.
