I am disgusted by the continued push to remove immigrants from this country, with zero due process, then placing them in a horrifying prison, NOT in this country, from which they may never be released and for which we are paying a very high price. Everyone deserves due process. It is in our constitution- the 14th amendment. The 14th amendment begins with- “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. Not State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. “ Then there are the Beatitudes, which speak of mercy and kindness. They imply the opposite of the actions the Trump administration is taking on a daily basis, actions that you loudly support. Perhaps read this one out loud. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” Thank you for your time.
