Congress must enact Medicare for All: S. 1506 (Senator Bernie Sanders) and H.R. 3069 (Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Debbie Dingell). Happy birthday to Medicare! For 61 years, Medicare/Medicaid has been a lifeline for seniors, disabled and low income individuals. Medicare for All would give comprehensive, high-quality healthcare based on patient need, not on profit, for everybody.​ Instead of improving and expanding Medicare/Medicaid, the Trump administration is recklessly increasing costs for medications and imposing work requirements for eligibility, which must be rejected. This includes seeking to privatize Medicare by the so-called “Medicare Advantage” scheme.​ Listen to the majority who support Medicare for All to solve the health care crisis for working-class families. Become a sponsor and urge its passage without delay!
