Restore Integrity to the People’s House: Remove Mills & Cherfilus-McCormick The integrity of the House of Representatives is foundational, yet Florida is currently represented by two individuals who have profoundly betrayed the public trust. It is time for an immediate accountability push regarding Representatives Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Cory Mills. Their continued presence in Congress is an affront to the constituents they serve and our country. Representative Cherfilus-McCormick has been found guilty of 27 ethics charges, most disturbingly involving the theft of millions in FEMA disaster relief funds to bankroll her campaign. Using taxpayer dollars—intended for vulnerable citizens facing emergency recovery—as a personal political piggy bank is a gross violation of law and ethics that cannot be ignored. Similarly, Representative Cory Mills faces a series of alarming allegations that disqualify him from leadership. Between an active Ethics Committee probe into illegal campaign finance violations and troubling stolen valor claims regarding his military record, Mills has lost all moral authority. Furthermore, a standing order of protection related to domestic violence allegations makes his continued service untenable. Public service is a privilege, not a right. When leaders prioritize personal gain and deception over the law, they must be held to account. Both Representatives should resign immediately. If they refuse, the House must act with integrity and efficiency to expel them.
