I am writing to you as a concerned citizen regarding U.S. foreign policy and military aid to Israel. Recent developments, such as the guilty plea of Israeli national Gal Haimovich for illegally shipping U.S.-made aircraft parts and avionics to Russia, raise important questions about the accountability and consequences of our military support to Israel. According to official sources, Haimovich was involved in a scheme to smuggle sensitive U.S. aircraft parts, which could be used in missile technology, into Russia, violating U.S. sanctions imposed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine . This action jeopardizes global security and directly undermines U.S. efforts to impose sanctions on Russia in response to the ongoing conflict. As we witness these troubling actions, I believe it is time for the United States to reconsider the immense military aid provided to Israel. While Israel has the right to defend itself, continuing to supply advanced weaponry and aid, without requiring stronger accountability measures, puts U.S. resources and security interests at risk. I urge you to advocate for policy that ensures Israel can defend itself using its own resources, without reliance on U.S. aid and weapons. If Israel chooses to use American-made technologies, it should be required to demonstrate clear compliance with international regulations, particularly when these technologies could end up in adversarial hands. Please take action to review and reassess U.S. aid to Israel, and ensure that our foreign aid is used responsibly and in ways that align with U.S. interests and values. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
