Vote NO on H.R. 9171 stripping Endangered Species protection

To: Sen. Schatz, Rep. Tokuda, Sen. Hirono

From: A verified voter in Kula, HI

July 12

I am a constituent who cares deeply about our country’s wildlife. I'm writing to urge you to vote NO on H.R. 9171, the Interior-EPA appropriations bill currently loaded with more than 30 anti-wildlife provisions. If passed, this bill would strip ESA protections from gray wolves and grizzly bears before their recoveries are complete, defund habitat safeguards for wolverines and Canada lynx, and allow lead ammunition to keep poisoning eagles and condors. These provisions were not debated on their merits. Instead, they are buried in a must-pass spending bill to avoid public scrutiny. Please vote NO on H.R. 9171 and reject all anti-wildlife riders in any final package. Thank you.
