Budgeting against SEPTA and the southeastern Pennsylvania corridor of public transit is simply wrong. Many, many folks rely on these lines to get into the city of Philadelphia as well as travel other places, and cuts to SEPTA are a serious issue for people to get to work, doctor's appointments, lesiure activities, and to see friends and family members. I urge you to not pass this budget, as SEPTA is a large part of the infrastructure of the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. Philadelphia also supplies Harrisburg and the state with many tax benefits, and cutting service to Philadelphia as a "punishment" of needing public transport is simply incorrect, unfair, and is not OK. Please do not pass this budget.
