April 5
Demand Trump's Removal Following Gross Misconduct Congress must take immediate legislative action to remove Donald Trump from the Office of the President. The events of this Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, have made it undeniably clear that the President is a direct liability to the security of the American people, the stability of the United States, and the safety of the world. The President issued a profanity-laced ultimatum to Iran via Truth Social, threatening to target civilian infrastructure in what he described as "Power Plant Day" and "Bridge Day." His demand to "Open the F***ing Strait" or face "Hell" is not merely unprofessional; it is a reckless escalation of an already devastating conflict that has seen American service members put in harm's way. By explicitly threatening to destroy power plants and bridges, the President is signaling a willingness to commit what international law and human rights experts define as war crimes. Such actions target the very survival of civilian populations and risk drawing the United States into a deeper, unconstitutional war without the required authorization from Congress. The President’s behavior demonstrates a profound lack of the temperament, judgment, and fitness required of a Commander-in-Chief. His approach and use of vulgarity in the face of nuclear-capable tensions do not project strength; they project instability that our adversaries can exploit and our allies cannot trust. As noted by legal experts and even members of his own party, this administration’s madness is risking the safety of every American. I urge you to work with your colleagues to: Initiate immediate Impeachment proceedings on the grounds of gross misconduct, the threat of war crimes, and the subversion of Congressional war powers. Call upon the Vice President and the Cabinet to invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, as the President’s recent actions and rhetoric indicate he is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office." We cannot afford to wait for the next impulsive social media post to become a global catastrophe. The Constitution provides these mechanisms precisely for moments like this, when the individual at the helm of the executive branch becomes a clear and present danger to the Republic.
