The families of victims in these suspicious hanging cases deserve answers, and I'm asking you to push for a full, independent investigation into these deaths. A new report covered by The Grio found more than 70 suspected modern-day lynchings in the Deep South since 2000 — cases that were closed too quickly, leaving grieving families with no accountability and no truth. That is not justice. These families have fought for years to be heard. A proper investigation — transparent, independent, and thorough — is the least they are owed. You have the platform and the authority to demand one, and I expect you to use it.
