Emil Bove's record displays a concerning disregard for the rule of law and ethical standards expected of those serving on the federal bench. As Trump's personal attorney, Bove weaponized the Department of Justice, retaliating against perceived enemies and defending allies through unethical means. He ordered the firing of Jan. 6 prosecutors, threatened to purge the FBI, and dropped corruption charges against New York City's mayor in an alleged quid pro quo agreement. Most alarmingly, Bove directed DOJ officials to "ignore" court orders interfering with the administration's deportation operations, a blatant violation of judicial authority. This willingness to defy court rulings for political objectives renders Bove unfit for a lifetime judicial appointment where impartiality and adherence to the law are paramount. I urge you to reject his nomination to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals and uphold the integrity of the federal judiciary.
