Condemn Trump's Remarks Inviting Attacks on American Cities

To: Pres. Trump, Rep. DelBene, Sen. Murray, Sen. Cantwell

From: A verified voter in Bothell, WA

October 7

You need to speak up. At a rally in Nebraska, Trump told a cheering crowd that foreign enemies destroying Los Angeles and San Diego would be "a very small price to pay." That is a sitting president inviting an attack on millions of Americans. Your silence is a choice, and your constituents are watching. This isn't isolated. Trump has spent $20 million in taxpayer money on self-promotional ads and refuses to reimburse the public. He's hosting the G20 at his own Doral resort — the same self-dealing that drew Republican outrage in 2019. And for the first time since 2002, his administration has blocked OSCE election observers from monitoring the midterms. The only other countries in that organization to refuse observers are Russia and Belarus. When a president fantasizes publicly about American cities being destroyed and then works to keep independent eyes off the ballot box, that combination demands a response. Say something. On the record. Now.
